Calvin Gainey is a worship leader, musician, and teacher with a passion for the presence of God and the ministry of the local church. He began playing piano at four and, as a teenager, served as a paid musician in several large Dallas-area churches—an experience that opened his heart to worship and using his gifts to help others encounter Jesus.
For the past 25 years, Calvin has served as a worship leader with Family Faith Church across its various campuses, leading worship, developing teams, and mentoring musicians and singers. Alongside his church ministry, he has enjoyed an extensive professional career as a pianist and vocalist, performing for corporate events, fundraisers, weddings, private celebrations, senior communities, and venues of all kinds. This experience has strengthened his musicianship, versatility, and ability to connect with people across generations.
Calvin’s wife, Marsha, is an essential part of both his life and ministry. Together, they carry the vision of Sound & Flame: raising up skilled musicians and Spirit-led worshipers who are grounded in Scripture, sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and committed to ministering to the Lord. Their desire is simple—to know Jesus, walk closely with Him, and help others do the same.
