Learn.
Play.
Serve.

Students will have opportunities to move beyond the classroom—performing, serving, and ministering through senior living communities, churches, local events, festivals, and community outreach.

These experiences develop confidence, teamwork, stage presence, servant-hearted leadership, and the ability to connect with people through music.

Who it’s for

There’s a place for you to grow.

Whether you are beginning for the first time, returning to an instrument after several years, or ready to become more confident playing with others, there is a place for you at Sound & Flame. Adults, teens, and children are welcome, and groups will be organized by age and experience whenever possible.

Students develop practical musical skill while learning to play with excellence, sensitivity, humility, teamwork, and a heart to serve God and others.

Common questions

Group Lessons FAQ

Where will classes meet?

In-person group sessions will serve students in the Conroe and The Woodlands area and will initially meet in a welcoming home-based setting. The exact address will be provided directly to registered students.

How will students be placed?

Placement is based on current experience and goals. A short conversation will help determine whether Foundations, Progressions, or Ensemble Lab is the best fit.

Does a student need an instrument?

Piano students do not need to bring a keyboard to class; one will be provided. Guitar students should bring their own guitar. If needed, arrangements may be made in advance to use a guitar provided by Sound & Flame during class.

Is this only for experienced worship musicians?

No. Foundations is designed for beginners. Every class combines practical musicianship with a heart to worship and serve.

Will students have opportunities to perform?

Yes. As students develop, they will have opportunities to perform, serve, and minister in community settings.
